Hi,
I took the first cold weather ride (-23C) on the Viper last night since adding slp's last year. River was frozen and smooth, lots of traction. Decided to do some plug reading to make sure jetting was safe. Ive ran the sled before but not for extended distances. It was night too so only had a flashlight to read the plugs.
Cluthing is pretty good right now, 8dn20s maxed out, green sec spring @80. seeing 88-9000 rpm, stock gearing, works great.
Jetting is 150-150-152.5, needles stock (3 i think), 47.5 pilots, fuel screws 2 turns, **vented to atmosphere**. no bogs anywhere.
Checked plugs, nice tan brown at low speed and midrange checks (4-5 readings). Rode 20 miles after, varied speed a lot to make sure.
My question : wot reading resulted in same colour plugs, but instead of having a matte texture like usual, plugs were more glossy or shiny brown(not fouled glossy). Wondering if someone has seen this before?
I do think im a bit on the lean side right now.
