when i come to and idle my belt squeals. but my belt is already sitting level with my secondary clutch. so if i take out washers wont it sit lower ? and also maybe it my motor out of align. idk need some help. let me no what u guys think.
check built width first to see if it is in spec,,,, next center to center and offset........ Also clean clutches........
If you take out the washers, it will keep the secondary open a little wider and allow the belt to sit down further in the clutch. If you have a lot of miles on, it may be that the screws have worn down to the point that they need to be replaced (that is if taking the washers out doesn't fix the squeal). I am guessing something else may be off though because a new belt should sit slightly above the edge of the secondary... at least that is what works on mine.

It's nothing major. You want your belt deflection to be set at the point that your track will slightly spin when lifted off the ground, or will move very easily if you give it a little help. The manual calls for 1.5mm above the edge to .5mm below the edge. Belt width new: 34.5 mm (1.36 inches); wear limit width: 32.5 mm (1.28 inches).
I'd pluck the washers out and never give it a second thought. IF it still squealed, then buy new bolts, they will wear out eventually, and then try them with washers back on them.
