heel clicker help!

hi everybody i have a 01 srx which i just got 2 weeks ago and i love it!!! im not to crazy about doing 100+mph so i changed the gearing to 23/40, i do alot of trail and field riding which theres not alot of long straight aways, so im looking for a setup that will be good for alot of twists and turns and a straight away here and there, i just got the 40-10 hc clutch kit which ill be setting up this weekend and ill be putting on a bender roller rooster too, well my question is i only have a white/blue bender spring for it and not sure which wrap i should run it at? and i also got two helixs 43/39 and 49/43 i was thinking 49/43, please help me any info would be great thanks alot. SRX RULES!! :2strokes:

all those helix,s are way too steep if you want to run 40/10. You need something like a 41/35. add 10 degrees to each end to get close to a regular helix,

I agree, 43\39 should work fine. I run yam silver spring @80 work well. Good luck trying to twist that bender spring to 3\0 . 1\0 works seems to work the same as my yam silver @80.

heel clicker help!

so day i dicided to install the kit today, where should i start, lets see i think heel clicker is #$%&* lets start there.ok the tuning sheet tells me to use the red spring with 5g in shoulder and 5g at the tip, that didnt work the sled engaged at like 6/7 and reved to 9/10, i tried every combo that i could think of, the best was 5g shoulder 5g middle and 3g tip, it engaged at 5500 and reved to 8. now i dicided to try the black spring it came with, i put 5g on shoulder and 5g at tip, engaged at 5/5200 and reved to 8500, and i gave up for today, ill get back on it tomorrow, so what you guys think is going on? thanks

need a shallower helix & not so much secondary spring. Been der dun dat with the advantedge roller & heelcickers like 7-8 years ago.

?

Somethings not right here. Run the red spring 6 grams heel 5.5 tip. Try the bender spring @1\0. Had my sled out tonight 4100 eng 8500 initial 8650 full shift. You have way to much weight in there. Running R|R 41\37 silver @80

i got this kit from the guy i bought the sled from he never used it,i think its missing a few parts, it came with 2 springs red and black, 9 bolts 3grams each and 15 washers that are 1gram each, so theres no way i can get 5.5grams, they also say not to add more then 2 washers on each bolt so thats only 5grams, what should i do?? please help!!

That's why your engagement is to high. you need alot of heel weight ( 7 washers plus long bolt). This is what controls engagement. If these parts are missing try lowes or home depot and see if you can make something work.Heel weight is a must for heel clickers.

That sounds like a great idea, should I add 5grams to the centre hole to help with the engagement?

Just picked up some bolts and washers from Rona, and got myself a mini scale time to do some fine tuning:)

It won't make much dif .I doubt you could pull the correct shift rpm if you add mid weight. Even with my set up it pulls the motor down to much out of the hole. All motors are different though. With an srx you want 8300-8400 initial to 8550 full shift. Just a comment Turk is right when he say the RR shifts much harder than the number would indicate. My 41\37 shifts just as hard as my bender 49\46. I can swap sec and they perform exactly the same rpm wise, The roller in my opinion is the ultimate sec upgrade for all around performance.

results, 7g in tip 6g in shoulder engagement at 5000/5250 rpm 8400/8500, i didnt try anything else cause i just wanted to ride, im thinking of buying another primary clutch just for tunning, how about i just run the roller rooster at 10wrap with shock primary? P.S the heel clicker i have is the 2 speed clicker.
