I have some 8df weights I wanna run in my 98 sx 700 with hauck pipes. But I do not have a y-g-y spring 40/123 I have a y-s-y 35/118 and engagement shims. Should I run them with the 14.5mm rollers 4.5 heel 3.6 tip. Dose this sound like a good starting point? I have two helixs a 51/43 and a 48/40 and green spring. If it dose not pull to recommend rpm of 8800-9000 for pipes just drop tip weight correct. Or should I wate to get correct spring?

I think the 98 700sx come with 14.5 mm rollers, so I would just go with those. If you have a slightly weaker primary spring, then you could go with lighter rivets on your flyweight to get the same effect of running a slightly stiffer spring in your primary. But to get your RPMs up that much for the pipes(from 8300 to 8900), you may need to get a stiffer primary spring. I bought an assortment of hauck tuning screws, they are very easy to install/uninstall compared to the rivets. I have two sets so i could put the same size in both holes if I needed to. Regarding the helix, i like that 51-43. I would get a heavier spring, make sure i have enough side pressure on the secondary by wrapping the spring and then get your shift RPM dialed by your rivets and primary spring.
You could also check the tech pages for user's setup too. I would not be surprised if you could find something very close to what you need. Certainly it would be a great starting point. Good Luck.
