GUYS HAVE A LINE ON A SET. PIPES AND I BELIEVE CAN (all the info i can give ) lol. I LOVE THE STOCK PIPES, BUT YOU GUYS THINK THEY ARE WORTH IT PERFORMANCE WISE. THESE PIPES WERE ON A 98 SRX I SAW RUNNING 10.20,s ON THE TAR LAST SUMMER. PRICE IS RIGHT TOO. I SAW OLD DYNO PULL ON THESE AND THEY WERE ABOUT 6 HORSE. ANYBODY HAVE ANY STORIES HERE ABOUT THESE vs the stock triples. 3;16 (yammie tony)

Tony, scoop 'em up. The dyno sheet I seen from that link w/all those dyno tests, showed like 148.5hp @ 8350 rpm. Just gotta keep them pipes hot, as they are said to be a little picky about heat.

Forgot to mention that I have a ceramic coated set, w/the power inc silencer to boot. Never tried them yet.

Tony:

I would like to see you get them...run them...tune for them...then post the results.
Then we will all know if they are as good as we have heard!

Bob

I love them, 18 pounds lighter, 8250 peak RPM. I did back to back top speed runs and showed 1-2 mph faster with the power incs compared to stock. Testing was done within 2 hours when comparing stock to power inc. Mine are individual stingers...

GUYS GREAT INPUT HERE. NOW JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT. YOU THINK THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE PIPES WOULD BE MORE NOTICEABLE ON A 98-99 VS ON A 00-01-02 ?. THESE PIPES WERE ON A 98 THAT RAN VERY HARD ON THE TAR. I WOULD LOVE TO TEST THEM ON MY 2002 WITH MY 8BU-10 SET-UP. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Whats the prob??????? bye em try em sell em,,,,, whats the prob mick-fly,, chicken??????

whats the difference between the power inc pipes tony is talking about that use a can and the ones power inc makes for the srx with individual stingers ??

nothing but noise............. need non stock engine to make em work............ IMO.......on a stock eng. you lose performance.....

Had em and sold em. They did make a little more power, but not enough to run, they are not very consistant, and they put me in the improved classes at the races, back to stock we go. There is a set for sale on Amsnow by d&d 1107.

If you guys want to play with pipes, why not try cutting the manifolds and run the motor at a higher rpm. or just cut a set of viper pipes to the correct length and weld on flanges to fit a srx.
I would guess a 2deg timing key in a srx would have given you 2mph more, or, having the correct clutching, or sometimes, taping up holes in hood.
you didn't loose 18 lbs from the pipes, you lost 6, compare apples to apples. Your comparing the weight of a stock exhaust with stock muffler to aftermarket exhaust with stinninger. stingers on a srx save 12lbs.
