I going to be putting on a boss seat clone on my srx 700 would 5'' risers be enough or should I go 6'' im 5'8'' and like to sit down to do most of my riding. Any help would be great.

Boss is 3 inches higher so a 3 inch riser would bring you back to the same spot. For sit down riding, it works well. That's what I have and I kept the same cables. Unbolt your bars and try different heights with blocks of wood.

I had a boss and 1.25" Tpost adaptor, and an 8" riser, so 9.25" off the "post". I love this setup, i am 5' 10" and it makes it comfy standing up.

to go much past 2, you should change out your throttle cables and brake hose.
Oh, did i mention I have two sets of these for sale? no brake hose but I have a new rsi black extension kit and a braided line kit, maker unknown.
I also have a set of hooked bars, riser, pivot block etc for sale

Are you going to run stock handlebars? Id recomend trying a set of dirtbike pro tapers or tags.

Well i should clarify my post. I am running flat bars on top of the riser and tpost adaptor. I am able to run the STOCK throttle and brake cables with a little re-routing.
Keep in mind however, that the MTN Viper came with longer cables than standard vipers, not sure on how the cable length is compared to srx's.
