ive already read the whole tech section and it does not mention what im about to ask...

when i remove the primary clutch to do weight/rivets does it need to be re-alighned? with the secondary?
-im asking because i do not have the tool to alighn clutches, and i just ordered 6 4.5 rivets, www spring, green secondary, 52/44 helix, im a clutching virgin so let the learning begin!!!

im still deciding on whether or not to remove the primary clutch... or doing the work while the primary is on the sled.

If you remove the primary (or secondary for that matter), you want have to realign them. They mount to shafts that are fixed and you're not touching those mounts. I would remove it to do the work you've mentioned because it makes it easier and you can also get inside and clean it better. However, replacing weights and rollers can be done with the clutch still mounted to the crankshaft.

It is so much easier with the clutch off the sled. You can also check for worn bushings easier. Once you change parts with the clutch removed you will never go back to doing it on the sled.

thanks guys... hey turk for starters do you think i should even try the red sec. spring or go to the green off the bat? and what wrap would you recomend?

i started with 4.5 in the center of my 8dn20 weights and put i think 1/4" bolts in the tips approx 6.2g i believe but you have to grind the head and nut a bit to clear the spider. used a 53/43 helix with a silver spring some days and green on others depending on conditions. 60 degree wrap usually. usually was seeing 110-115mph on gps

red spring is to soft start with the green and go from there.
