Went to go for a ride on Sunday with a friend, and the link below shows the aftermath. I never even got out of my yard. Don't know how it happened, just a freak thing I guess. I hit this little wall going about 10mph, went up over the handlebars, feet over my head backwards, and my arm went into the right side of the windshield while my body went up and over backwards. I ended up down the right side of the snowmobile near the trailing arm and ski. Dislocated right shoulder good shape, broke the ski, and my pride and excitement. The pain was incredible. I was at the hospital for about 4 hours total which isn't bad I suppose. Just glad it was only dislocated and not broken or worse! I'm only out of commision for about 2-3 weeks but it still sucks! Could have been worse though I guess. Enjoy the photos and try not to laugh too much.

I did something similar on my wheeler flat track racing this summer, dislocated my clavicle at the AC joint, it was a long month before I was back lifting anything heavier than 10lbs with that arm.
Glad to hear you didnt get anymore hurt or damage the sled much. I got a pair of blue ski loops if you want em, send me your address.

Yeah that would be helpful WNY! The ski was bent up at almost a 90 degree angle so I'm hoping that it was just the handle doing it.

That sucks, glad you're okay and realistically the damage is pretty minimal (I wish I was that lucky). As far as the dislocation really I hope it heals up for you. I had one once and it broke off a piece of bone that acts as a bumper to keep it from coming out, then proceeded to dislocate it more than 50 times over the next 4 years, when I finally got the operation to repair it, I was off work for 3 months. Apparently it's pretty common with adult dislocations. Just be patient and make sure you give the ligaments lots of time to strengthen back up. Good luck.

Don't that suck!! I'm glad you didn't get hurt worse than that. The damage to the sled is pretty minimal, those skis aren't really rigid, the loop gives it it rigidity. But those little accidents can be the worst, especially on your ego. Get well soon.
