Hey guys,
2002 Viper. Stock pipes, jetting, needles at 3rd groove shims under, floats aren't measured but are parallel to carb body.Just picked it up in Oct. Love the sled. Fast and smooth. Starts and idles @ 1600 very good. Fuel screws out to 2 turns to try and cure an idle hang. After a hard run it will hang for about 2 seconds and then drop. Doesn't seem to be a big issue. Anyway, sled pulls clean from idle to 80 mph(haven't had the space to get it going any faster). Plugs are a light brown (about 50 miles on them). My question is when I'm at around 3800-4K it seems to sputter/pop out of the exhaust not like a backfire, just a subdued popping sound. As soon as I get on the throttle no hesitation at all, just pulls right through the RPM's. Lean condition or rich? Gonna be working on it tomorrow checking everything over but just figured I'd throw it out there for any advice.
Thanks for your time,

Sounds like your T.O.R.S. is acting up a little . Make sure you have a little slack in your throttle cable and if that dosn't work you might try bypassing it . Just a thought .
SS.

Thanks Sneeky Snake

Thanks for the response. After doing some reading last night I came to the conclusion that it sounds like it is the low/mid rpm burble(rich). Better a little rich than lean though. I would like to get the fuel screws back to 1 7/8 turns but with the idle hang I have I think I'll just leave them at 2. My throttle cable is adjusted to spec. per the manual.
Thanks again for the response.
