A stud came loose and went right through my front heat exchanger on my SXR 600 does anyone know how hard it is to get out??

My friend just went through the same thing. He had a friend that could weld aluminum. He rolled it up on it's side and welded it in place. Good luck.

X2 it you can get at it weld it in place. Way easier, removing this is a big undertaking. We welded a buddies SRX this way after i put a drill bit through it putting on the heat exchange protectors. Hows that for irony. CCC

Front heat exchanger seems to be the center of the ProAction chassis, gotta take pretty much everything off to replace it. My buddy did his last winter, was a big project.

I did something different with my 600SX. I added a radiator in front of the air delector on the hood and an SRX rear heat exchanger across the back where the straight tube was. I have had no problems with overheating since adding these two items. I added a temperature gauge as well just to make sure. Might be an alternative if the gash can't be welded. At the time I didn't know anyone who did aluminum welding so I made do.
