I just got home from a Weekend in the mountain. Very deep snow.
I have a 97 sx 700 with a 136 track. But it sits low to the ground. Makes it hard to ride the deep powder. What do I need to do to raise the sled up a little. without breaking the bank. :o|

Talk to Tom at Hartman Inc. as he is the guru of all things for Yamaha mountain sleds. His phone number is on his website and he can help you with mods from mild to wild,There is also some very good info on his website.

Drop brackets on the back suspension to give you more tunnel clearance and longer shocks up front for more clearance up front. It'll make a big difference in the deep stuff.

No, you don't drop the brackets... you add drop brackets to your suspension to drop the back end of your suspension down. If you look at the back bolt on your suspension it is just above your running boards. People bolt on drop brackets that have a hole below the running boards where you bolt on your suspension and that gives you more clearance between your tunnel and your track AND more clearance between your running boards and the snow. If you do a search on this site you will find a lot of info about them.
