i got some riding in this weekend. i ran down a plowed road with my viper, traction felt good. it was running at 8,900 rpm. it has a studded ripsaw, torque limiter, 8 tooth drivers and stock gearing. i also removed 2 teeth off of the speedo gear to correct it and the speedo showed 108 mph top speed! i thought with 8 tooth drivers i would be at 90-95? does this sound right or do i need to test on the lake to check for traction issues?

8 tooth drivers hugely lowered your gearing & therefore your clutching is gonna be off too. Add more weight with a steeper helix & probably gonna need a w-w-w primary spring.

what do you suggest for a helix? and what is a w-w-w primary spring? also how will it affect backshifting? thanks for your help. i really appreciate it.
