I have a viper mountain -04 and im thinking of removing the transfer rods to get less ski pressure.
pros and cons??

will the suspension get beaten up on bumpy trails?.
any ideas??

Undie, I had issues with ski weight. So I used spring settings to set the gap between the top and bottom of the transfer rods so it was the same distance with me sitting on it. Really made it handle and ride better. Surprising how little out of adjustment that setting can be and handle bad.

take them off, i run 2 vipers without transfer rods and they actually have a smoother ride. the front unloads easier but its not a big deal, try it, i am sure you will like it!

Do you think the transfer enhancement kit is worth it? I really would like a smoother ride. I heard that it also enhances the trail ride. Al

I was thinking of doing one of those transferkits my self with some limiterstraps and removing the rods, or is that a bad idea?

That's fine if you replace them with a kit of some sort,,, just dont want to run with nothing there............

What is in the transfer kit. As far as I can see its just limiter straps instead of the rods.

I would like more information on these kits. We ride trails at medium to lower speeds. I can't afford a new rear suspension but I thought the enhancement kits help smooth out the lumps. Am I wrong or right? Al

Best solution is to get a real skid under there Al,,,,,, transfer kit is what it looks like,,, a BANDAID,, will give you more transfer, plusher ride, but lacks control and performance..........JMO........
