I found out my 2000 sxr 700 has a 3 inch pivot riser and then a 2 inch block riser, for total of 5 inch..im removing the risers this weekend and going to stock... the previous owner believes the dealer left the stock cables in but is not 100% sure... how can i tell if i have the stock cables or not? Im afraid to go back to factory height but having extended cables in the sled and ruining something, specificly the oil pump? im scared that with a longer cable and no factory height, the throttle wont open the pump because the cable is too long... the gap on the oil cable is set factory to 22 MM... is this all i have to worry about even if the cable itself is now longer then needed? or do i have to now make that gap smaller to make up for the longer cable? i guess these are stupid questions, and prob worrying about nothing, but there is small chance that i have the longer cables in sled, and i have no idea how to tell if they are the extended or the factory stock cables..... thank you

longer or not, if you dont mess with the cables themselves, the gap shouldn't change. You probably do have longer cables because I think a 3" riser is about max for stock cables. either way, if you can reroute them so they're not binding or anything, you will be fine.

yeah your cables could be 30 feet long and it wouldnt matter as long as the difference between the casing and the actual cable is 22mm
