Disconnect Dcs system srx 700 2002

simply remove sensor, install plug in water rail, then tape the sensor to the side, leave plugged in harness and it wont bother you nor protect you anymore.

Ohm out the knock sensor.
Cut out leads.
Tie in high precision resistor of identical value
Profit???

yes, you can simply change out the water rail also. you also have to ground the sensor, i forgot to mention that, so it wont give you a trouble code thru the diagnostic light.

a question? I can run srx 700 2002 engine with cdi from srx 700 2000?

no, not a 2000 ,plugs for the cdi are totally differnt, the 2001 will plug in and run in a 2002 but thats it.

okay then, I know. but should I ground the dcs from the sensor connector to the chassis?

The ground path of the sensor is through the body of the sensor (the threaded portion of the sensor).

In other words ground the threaded portion of the sensor to the sled chassis and leave the sensor plugged into the harness.

But as Don mentioned, you are now unprotected from detonation. Is that what you really want? If it's flashing, fix the reason why.
