Sorry Guys I have a few probably stupid stud questions i have never studded a track before. I blew a chunk off a studded track on srx and put on a ice attack, now i want to put the studs on my viper. i need to buy about 50 to replace some damaged ones etc the studs i took out of the track measure 1 1/4 out of the track are studs sold measured out of the track or measured after installed. would these studs be considered 1 inch after installed? is a stud drill bit important or does any old bit work to drill holes. thanks ![Letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/letitsnow.gif)

I'd talk to RichMotorsports - site sponsor (perhaps he'll pipe in), but from what I've read studs are measured differently depending on the mfg.
...and yes a stud drill (more like a leather punch) is required.

If your saying the total height of the studs are 1 1/4" they are to short for the viper track.since the viper has a .92" lug plus 1/4" thickness of track.Sounds like a .92"-1" stud depending on brand. You want a 1.15" Extreme Max stud giving you 1/4" past the lug.I sell them for $1 each with nut.Backers are 30 cents each. And yes you want a track drill they are $9 on sale today. If you need anything let me know.
