So I was out for a quick ride last night to test out my newly longtracked Viper in the insane amount of snow we've recieved here in Newfoundland over the last week or so and 15 min from my house I went into a rut and bashed up the left side of my front end. Not to worry, I had actually ordered all new front end parts from a Mtn Viper 4 days abo so they should be here any day. When I got home I removed all the bent up parts except for the sway bar. Do you remove this by drilling out the rivets on the small plates with the plastic windows in them? And, does the sway bar easily come out once this is achieved?
Also, I did not order a new sway bar to accomidate the narrow front end the sled will have when I am done. Should I?
Thanks.![Letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/letitsnow.gif)

Yes, drill those out and take em off, then the sway bar slides out with a little twisting and turning.

Thats good to know because I would like to replace the sway bar with a shorter one from a Mtn Viper

I have read mixed reviews about not having the sway bar installed, any thoughts on whether or not I should keep it?
If you do over 30% trail riding I'd use one for safety reasons.....

Ya like Whammy said, especially trail riding. I put a Venture sway bar in which is stiffer, but helps keep the skis down in corners. This also requires the white plastic spacers from a venture, as the sway bar is a little bigger around.
