Which area looks better to ride in, I heard Baraga is pretty wet right now and more snow to the east a little. Newberry looks like better snow conditions. Anyone with any thoughts or been their this last weekend.

I would go to the Munising area. I guess Newberry would work as well.

We just got back from Munising yesterday and the whole area was a ghost town. The hotels were empty and the trails were in great overall shape. The only thin spot was right along the lake front but there was enough to ride on.

i just got back from Baraga this weekend and it was decent. There was definately plenty of snow, but there was enough traffic when we rode west over towards bruce crossing, and north on 3 to twin lakes and calumet, so the trails were real choppy. Also the connector trail from just south of twin lakes over to baraga had A LOT of water to skip because the trail goes through a cedar swamp that isn't all the way froze yet. Should be good by the weekend though, with the cold temps all this week. Some trails were real good, most were ok, one was bad.
