Is it unusal to have very little to no fuel in the carbs when you take them out for cleaning?
I am use to a little fuel spilling when I pull the lines and I always put a golf tee in them while I work on the carbs on the bench, but this last time I disconnected them and not a drop, is it a sign of something more serious?
Thanks,
Al

Did the machine sit for a few days before you pulled the carbs to work on them?

I haven't turned it over since spring. It's electric start and I pulled the battery. There is a small amount of fuel in the tank, but I will be draining that for fresh before trying to start it.

That's what I figured, just different to me to have zero.
The carbs gurgled a little when I had them upside down, but not near like my other 700, but I also had that started and then decided to clean the carbs in that.
Everything looked clean at first but that slim can be deceiving when dry I guess because when I hit it with carb cleaner the liquid came out brown, not clear like the cleaner.
