I have a friend that owns one and some one told him to put on bigger idler wheels because of slider wear. I know that is an issue on RX1s and Apexs but had not heard this problem on a SRX. Went through 10 pages and did not see any post about Hifax wear.

I've read about it here somewhere but I haven't experienced it. They tend to wear quick in certain spots at first but then stop wearing. I get at least 6 to 7k kms on a set.

Ya, 5.375" Polaris wheels will save your slides way more than stock............+1/8" in dia.

Yup I had this problem last year when riding packed trails with lil loose snow on top I would normally see about 250-300 miles from a set, then took out yammi wheels and replaced with those polaris wheels mentioned above and worked awesome! ;)!

X2 - just never had the issues others have and can't tell you why... although I could guess. ;>)

Larger wheels sound like a solution.

If their wearing at the bend which they normally do, add a hyfax saver wheel kit. I think thats what they call them. Get them from Yamaha or Bender, cost about 80-90 bucks. Oversized boggies help as well.
