I'm interested in replacing the No-Action rear skid in my sled. I currently have the original skid, long traveled and stretched to a 144" in my 02' SRX. I really want to stick to a Yamaha skid and was wondering what would be the cheapest/easiest route.
Lots of options, but i want to make sure that my rail extensions will still work with whatever i use.

I had a 2009 nytro skid put in my rx1 so far so good will be testing more next week. picked it up on ebay for 450. alot of people use ski-doo or polaris skids. can get them for about 350.

Anyone have any opinions on which skid would work better....monoshock or newer Nytro. Backcountry and ditchbang riding.
I have broke 3 lower shock mounts on my stock skid in the last two years, last time i took out the rail also.
I also wat to use my 144" MP rail extentions. all rear axle are the same right?

If you really want to use your extensions you will need to stay with a pro action skid.
Not much to upgrade there.

Stein,
What would you suggest ? looking for opinions.
The mono is a good choice to upgrade to. Many here have done it.. The Doo SC111 or a Poo IQ are also good upgrades from what I read on here. Do a search on each. You will find step by step directions for each skid. I went from my 121 stretched to 136 pro action with revalves on my Viper to an Attak with a 136 mono. The mono is hands down better the the pro action.

another thing to know is that I do get templates for the mono install for people. makes it a serious no brainer when putting it in. no measuring or anything makes it real straight forward swap, and you reuse some holes.
i have the newer nytro skid in my 800. it works great. got mine for 150 on ebay(which was an usually good deal) and am VERY happy with it. Rides great, excellent transfer, easy to tune, no shock fade of series of bumps. I highly recommend it
