2000 SRX Vforce reeds, bender can, 8dn20(not sure of weight but rivets in both hole), bender orange yellow spring, Bender helix 47/43, green spring wrapped at 80. Revs to 8500 and climbs up to 8700 on the trail.

I finally took the SRX to my 1st radar run today. 79 mph 1st pass, 81 mph 2nd pass. Would rev up to 8700 then immediately drop to 8000 and bog. I repositioned the secondary to 9 and 1 wrapped to 100. Next pass i got 98 mph, revved to 8500 and stayed there. Sled was consistant the rest of the day upper 90's.

What can i do to get a little more? Next time I'm gonna try stock can. Should I change anything clutch wise? I have a bender 53/43 that i can try also. Any advice would be appreicated.

1000 ft run.

The bender spring is probably a green yammie. 47/43 bender helix is very aggressive. 53/43 will be too much for your sled.

1000' shaved ice? 1000' snow? are you studded or not studded? if you are studded then you are way off on something if it is on shaved ice. How much do you weigh?
Put stock reeds back in and put stock can back on!! If you only have the 8dn weights then load them up 4.5 inner and 4.5 or 5.4 outer. W-W-W yamaha spring in primary try the 47/43 wrapped at 60 or 70 ;)!

DUDE, YOU WERE OFF BY A MILE HERE. WHAT A DEFFERENCE RUNNING IN YOUR PEAK MAKES. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I agree only if it was on shaved ice and he was studded plus it depends on how big of guy he is. My sled with my fat *** on it will be about 5-6 mph slower than when I have my brother-inlaw run it.

I'm a small guy, 150 with gear on. 144 studs on 1000 ft shaved ice. I know wrapping secondary wasn't right but I rode the trail to the radar runs and just had a couple tools with no parts. Like i said earlier on the trail it was perfect but once on the ice it was horrible. The previous owner tuned with the secondary? Is that why I had such a big difference between trail and ice? The sled sat for about 5 years with this setup on it and only 400 miles on the whole sled so the spring could be weak. What should i expect for speed in 1000 ft?
