So I just picked up a 97 sx700 and the sled came with a stock exhaust on it and also came with tripple pipes..the guy said he was runing the pipes but
but took them off..he said the jets for the tripple pipes are in it and he gave me another set of jets also..
So im wondering whats stock jets, and if the jets I have in it will run good with the pipes and if its good for a trail reliable sled.. Ill post back what are in thr carbs when I get them off

Stock jets where 145 143.8 143.8. And stock pilots 45.

If you are running stock pipe I will bring it back to stock.

So I opened up the carbs and I have 147.5 150 147.5
So I think im putting stocks back in so whats the order of the stock ones? What one gets the biger one?

So they guy b4 me had it set up wrong for them pipes cuz he had the fat one in the centet? Just wondering incase I ever put them pipes on

Tech pages

Look in the tech pages. There is a leaner jetting suggestion for these sleds with the stock pipe and it's good to well below zero. Your sled will run better than with the out of the box settings. I believe it is 142.5 mains straight accross and a slight adjustment to the needle too. Search it out!

I agree. I ran the stock pipe on my 700sx for 3 years after I bought it in 2007. The first year I didn't touch a thing. The second season I changed the jetting to 142.5s on all 3 and lowered the needles to 2.5 clips. It's all in the tech section. It ran a lot better and I ran well below zero w/o problems. I think the coldest I ever rode was about 15F below. This year I put in aftermarket triple pipes...
