my viper is all back to stock . except i have 8ca weights with 4.5 in inner and nothing in tip. ywy and green in secondary with yamaha 51 43. the sleds weird. i just took weight out my primary i took a gram out of the outer and the sled when i first start it up and i let it warm up with run 8700 to 8800. ride it a while and it s a hit or mis so idk it bogs down to like 8000. my weights in at 49 grams . wrap is at 90. wondering if u guys have any input. would this be caused by the powervalves

that wrap is way to much, try to stay in the 60 to 80 range.Tune your clutch for rpm's.Secondary good for minor tune..but not major rpm changes. The primary is where you add or take away rivets to get desired rpm's and then fine tune with secondary...

Your primary clutching is bass ackwards. You should have most of the weight n the tip running that profile of weight.

powervalves were dirty and i also cleaned my clutches. forgot which way the power valves go in. do the cut go down or up????? and turk what should i do with my clutches then . i thought if i load up the heel it would cause less spin and less belt slip out of the whole. explain how my thoughts are wrong please. and give me a better direction please

With 8ca profile weight & dual angle helix you want as much mass in the tip as sled will pull then add inner weight if needed. I get 20-30 pm,s a day on clutching & just don,t have enuff time to explain the abc,s of clutching. Buy aaens clutching handbook.

Why dont YOU write a book TURK, especially for Yamaha?? Then sell it! ;)!

Better yet, write an E-book, available in PDF or WORD format. Sell it for $19.99...seriously.

okay turk . my sled runs good 660 drags. so ur saying i will gain more with it the other way better grab of the belt and jazz. im not going for topend going for fast as possible in short runs. let me no please.

okay i put a 3.1 steel rivet in the end and my sled is dumb. when i let it warm up and the motor is not as hot as it is when i ride it around all day the frican thing pulls like a freight train pulls 86 to 8700. when it gets warmer the motor seems like it bogs. motor pulls up to 85 and after a while like around 80mph the sled starts to actually lose rpm. so idk if one of u guys can help me out that would be great. i cleaned clutches, power valves, put them to spec, and went through my suspension and replaced some bearings.

the set up is 8ca weights 3.1 in tip. ywy spring green secondary with yamaha 51 43 helix. wrap at 80

i put the stock weights back in and still doing it. i got internal external cogs and run the track as loose as possible. didnt modifie the airbox. i have 155 jets with needles on 2.5 and stock pilots. its just a ripsaw with 8 tooth drivers.

turk when i put the rivet in the end it made my clutches hotter then hell. when i put all the stock compenents back to stock still bogged. can some one please steer me in the right direction to get this thing ripping again.
