pulled out my viper noticed rip in soft part of seat, anyone know of a fix or a way of stopping rip? thanks

I found a decent and cheap ($10) fix; it lasted just short of 2 seasons.
I bought a vinyl repair kit from Walmart Canada. It is called "U-FIX-IT" leather & vinyl repair kit. XCel manufacturing group ltd. Windsor, ON N9C 1K2 in Canada or Winston Mfg. Birmingham, MI 48009 in US.
I actually drilled a hole through each end of the rip in the vinyl to stop the rip from spreading. The kit comes with a mesh backing material that you glue to the back side of the vinyl (it's a little tough to work the mesh in through the rip). The kit comes with several colors and grain matching papers.
Bring the seat inside for 24 hours to warm up; glue the mesh backing in place. Paint the liquid vinyl into the rip; use grain paper that matches the seat grain. Use you wife's iron and iron the paper grain for a few seconds. The heat sets the liquid vinyl.
You have to look real close to see the repaired area. My repair lasted almost 2 seasons before the repair ripped/cracked. I'm pretty sure I can just paint more liquid on and re-iron.

I fixed an old motorcycle seat a few years ago using a patch of vinyl, ...fitted under the tear and a layer of JB weld as an adhesive, ...duct tape to take up the slack on the tear to allow the glue to cure. This was three years ago and the repair is not very visible and still holding strong (JB weld has a bit of flex and sets like concrete).
