skid rail damage? hyfax moved

During getting gas found out the hyfax bolt broke n hyfax moved. It wore the rail down.

My question is what to do now. Other then replacing the bolt and replacing the hyfax.
Is there a wear limit on the rail itself?

Yes you may have to replace the rail if you can not get a new hyfax to slide on and stay,,, so to bolt up.......... ouch.... check for track damage........

The aluminum lip wear the hyfax is worn down near the front. It has worn about half the lip down. I think I can get the new hyfax on but the lip is at half now.

If you only wore 1/2 way through the "lip" on the rail that holds the hyfax then just put new hyfax on it and run it.

yes about 1/2 close to it.... The lip for the hyfax is still there...

Thanks guys. Yea it sucks. Here the front wore and never saw it. It wore the front of the skid down ( plastic guards at front then the bolts. then it let lose.

So I need to replace the front guides and hyfax for starters...

I did this but even worse...dealer said an $800 fix....and found a pair of new rails on Ebay with hyfax on them..for $100 I got 2 new rails and 2 perfect hyfax, put the new rail on with hyfax on the worn rail, then other hyfax on the normal rail..problem solved..

Put new hyfax on it and run it the rest of the season... maybe pick up a spare rail in the off season and change it out next year when you are doing pre-season maintenance. (I have a good Viper suspension that I am parting out, could send you down a rail or two)
