I have a 1998 Vmax 500With 7000 miles on it. I had the carbs gone through B 4 the season started. I put about 200 miles on it running great and it bewup(the skeirt broke off the piston so I'm guessing it had nothing to do with the carbs). I rebuilt it. Renickled the juggs, new pistons and rings and went through the bottom end to make sure no chunks were in there. I have about 140 miles on it now and at hlf throttle it dosnt want to go until you get it to almost full thottle, then it takes off. It was pretty bad after I first road it after the rebuild, its a little better now. I put some 2 stroke oil in the gas tank 4 more lube. I thought that would be out of the tank by now. I'm on my 2nd set of plugs. any ideas on what else it might be. any help would be thankfull. I am leaving for up north on fri.
Clean the carbs again, drain the fuel tank and put fresh gas in it, sounds like a carb issue or to much oil in fuel.
