I have installed a Bender REAction rear skid in my 1998 SRX and the ride is greatly improved, only problem is the front end handling has suffered. I am looking to raise the front end approx 1-1/2 to 2 inches to level sled out and put a some more pressure on front end. Have already installed Pioneer Ohlin shock extenders and would like to just modify or change out the cast ski mounting brackets. I have used search function and found some ref's to short vs. long braackets? My questions is does anyone know if indeed there are taller versions of the cast mounting brackets that will work on the SRX plastic skis? If I could just buy vs modify my originals it would be great.
Thanks in advance.

have you tried flipping your upper brackets around on the front Ohlins along with your extensions? can you get more sit in on your rear suspension to bring the rear down more to help in the front end handling? i was also told you can send your stock front shocks in to have a longer shaft added to give it an extra inch but i haven't heard of anyone actually doing that so not sure if that can be done. there are a couple of shops in Ontario that rebuilt those so you might be able to call them to verify if that is possible. you might need to contact your dealer, they should be able to get you a # to call to a shop they use to rebuild there shocks for there customers. ![Thumbs Up ;)! ;)!](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/div20.gif)

Hello SEX700, I have put the Bender Mono in my 98 and needed to raise the front as the back end of the track was not touching the ground. I put the Pioneer Pref Olin shaft 1"extenders on, then I took the top shock mounts off swaped sides and turned them up side down, this gave me another 7/8 of an inch rise on the front end. So in total I am close to 2" higher, my track is level and the ride is as close to perfect that you will ever get with a SRX. The only negative is you lose a small bit of slot car conering and it is a bit harder steering in the exterme twisty's, because you are adding more weigth on the ski's, but the wow feeling in the bumbs is well worth the change, plus the look of the sledis awsome. When I swaped side to side and turned the brackets upside down, I had to dremal a small ridge just under the top hole on the sled and I added one washer on the bottom hole to make the bracket fit flush. I also dremeled a small amount on the bracket to allow the shock more clearance just down from the mounting bolt hole. Last, but not least you will have to realign your skiis and spindle angles. Betheviper has a great write up ski alignment. Hope this helps, it is worth the effert, like having a totally new sled.

Here's what I did.
2 years ago, put in rear viper shocks, bought extended braket's-(1").
No front end pressure, even trying all kinds of settings.
This year, picked up BETHEVIPER's front extension kit.
Installed A/C fox shocks on front(16", I think).
WOW, what a difference!
Now she bites in the corner's, haven't had that for years.
This is on my son's '99, he's around 280 w/o gear.
Needless to say " He is EXTREMELY happy!

Kimzrcc I have been looking for brackets to raise the front and heard that BETHEVIPER used to make these brackets, are these the same brackets you are talking about? ![Letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/letitsnow.gif)

Those are the ones!
They are actually extensions for the radius rods, steering arm and sway bar.
Just send him a pm and he'll get back to you.
We actually put the stock shock brackets back on as the extended ones would have made it too long with the new shocks.
You will have to get longer shocks for it to work right or get the shock rod extensions.
