oil light never shuts off.

The red oil light on my dads MM 600 is on ALL the time.could this mean the oil pump is getting tired? or the sending unit is wrong?

the oil level warning lite is controlled by the sending unit only...

Perhaps the brake lever is set too tight? Button on the brake lever broken or shorted out?
