Anybody no the right wires to apply power and ground for testing a powervalve sevo moter on my 98 srx?

Disconnect the connecter. You should see a black and a red wire running into one end of it. I inserted a thin piece of wire into the top of the connector, until it makes contact with the wire running in from the bottom side. Hook the wire running up from the black wire to the negative. Turn on the ky. Hook the other wire running up from the red wire to the positive side of the battery. The servo motor should turn, maybe stop and go back and forth a little, and then come to rest. That is all there is to it. I used a small car batter, worked fine.

Just start it and turn the idle down until the servo opens. If it doesn't open you know it isn't working or you have a bad cdi.
