im thinking of a summer project, and my thought is to put a skid from a 1998 mountain srx in my 1998 srx, will the skid bolt right in or am i better off putting rail extensions on my 121" ?
or any other suggestions?

not a direct bolt in, you will need some drop brackets from the rear of either the srx mtn or any 97-99 mtn max, as well as a tunnel extension and misc.
what track are you planning on using? the mtn srx used 8t drivers vs the 9t on the 121 models.

well is it 8t or 9t??
8t sprockets, i just went out to count my bros mountain srx, also its mounted in the same location as the 98 srx. with lugs like those its an 8t.
i dont know, maybe its just on mine because the part numbers appear to be same. maybe someone else with a MSRX can confirm

98 MSRX came with 9 tooth drivers with the 1 1/2" track, If you got the optional 2" track you needed 8 tooth drivers.
