Hi Guy,
I Change my slide few day ago and i take 3-4 for long ride and sometimes my sled is very slow and sometimes is ok. Today I check my slides and is very used. My track is adjust with the spec is on the manual. Do you think it's because is too tight ? and it's we cause my problems ?

you smell pastic burning when you ride..then it is to tight. Get some over sized idler wheels and ice scrathers. My hyfax on my sxr600 going into almost 4 seasons and still look new.Mt SRX hyfax going 2 seasons and still fine also.

run your track looser than spec. Loosen until it ratchets, then tighten it a few turns. with new sliders, you can temper them. Basically, run your sled on ice or icy road until the sliders get hot and then jump in the snow to cool them. That will help make them last longer. I normally try to put my right ski in the snow on the edge of the trail every so often while riding to throw snow at the sliders. I easily get over 5000 kms on a set. Sometimes they seem to wear quickly at first and then after a while they don't wear much anymore.

nope thats about what I run 1" of sag in the middle of the skid.....everything posted above is spot on. I will tell you that you can make your slides last forever with what blue suggested above!
A small wheel kit up front in the curve will also help along with larger idler wheels
