Do you let people ride your sled when they come look at it to buy it? In my opinion I just start it, and look over it and spin the track to make sure the clutches are working...

Having bought a sled a couple of months ago its nice to go for a short run to make sure that there are no hidden (visual) issues with the motor or suspension. Brings up the confidence level when buying a used machine.

yeah just wouldn't want them to crash and get hurt or even worse break the sled.

i'd say it depends on the people and the terrain that's for sure! the guy that bought mine was a middle-aged guy, business owner and came with his 3 boys. he came at 9:30 at night to look at it (i knew he was real interested because he didn't want someone else coming the next day to possibly buy it) someone that interested, i'd let them ride it...especially because it was in a big open area. i'd be pretty nervous letting people ride it around cars, trees, etc.
BUT let's say two 17 year old buddies showing up together looking for a free joy ride...don't think so...

I sell then the purchaser can test ride with a money back gurantee if not satisfied. No one has wanted the money baack, and no damage has been done.
