I own both, 02 viper and 02 srx. Both stock,picked up the srx this past summer. My brother rode the viper on a lake run and smoked me! Wasn't even close. The srx runs great but no speed. Need help!

were carbs cleaned
powervalves cleaned and adjusted, servo working, no pull throughs
what were your rpms during run.
whats in it for clutching
if the pm stuff was done and in check. clutching would be next

Possible PV cable pull through..............
obviously something wrong with the srx. i agree with journey....pv pullthrough is probably first place you should look

Ya know when i bought my viper i took my powervalves out to clean them and they where in backwards. apparently the guy who had it before me didnt know what the heck he was doing. I would definatly check your SERVO and Compression while your in there.
Worst case you might have a lemon. It does happen from time to time.

I will try the power valves. They were cleaned, but not adjusted. Hopefully its not a lemon. Thanx!
