New Bender primary cover binding!

I installed my new Bender primary cover that has a brass bushing and after a 150 miles today notice alot of brass dust on my footwell. WTF! When talk to the guy at Bender during my purchase he said the main benefit of their cover was "reduced binding". What could be causing this? Is it this just break in or do i have something else going on here?

Did you align the "X" marks?

There isn't an "x" mark on the Bender cover.

there is a problem w/ the bushing material from the supplier on some of the covers. mine also wore out @ about the same mileage. put your old cover back on. there will be a fix shortly. call heath/mike & let them know.

Thanks for the info Bob! I will contact Bender tomorrow. The only problem now is my stock cover bushing is toast that's why i got the new Bender one for this year. Oh well i get a new bushing in it for next weekend.
