I have a 2000 SRX and I was riding on friday and realized there was a bit of fuel leaking out of the seam by the handle bar warmer know and the electric visor plug in. It wasn't much but it was noticeable, however I had a look at the fuel lines while it was running( just on the trail so I didn't take much apart) It seems like it is the most wet from fuel right behind the steering shaft with the 3 lines run across the sled. I couldn't however see/find any fuel leaking out of there, so I wiped up the fuel and continued on. It stopped doing it and then when I filled the gas tank up again it started again so it seems like when its full of fuel it does it. I'm not going past the neck of the tank and nothing splashes out of the cap area. it was a very small amount of fuel because I was still getting the same gas mileage.

So has anyone had anything like this happen to them?

Seems to me that your fuel vent line or fitting has came off, it's located on the top left side of the tank.

X2, the vent line for the gas tank is very close to the top of the tank just behind the steering post. Either the vent line came of the aluminum fitting o fthe vent hose got dry and brittle and cracked. Should be an easy fix for you.

The vent fitting will pop out because of the hose shrinking. Readjust the hose so it has some play in it and press the 90 fitting back in and everything will be good.
