What do I need to make my speedo read correctly W/ 8 tooth drivers, 99 srx.
On my Viper I had to dremel off two teeth on the speedo gear drive. Opposite teeth on the gear. Makes it just about spot on. On a 60 mile ride w/ a Polaris buddy, there was a .3mile difference in our trip odometers. I may have been spinning my track a little bit more than him, as he takes his time!!!

do u grind them of back to back or one on each side of the gear?
Opposite sides of the gear. Think of a clock, you would be grinding off #6 tooth and #12 tooth. I do believe that the there was an odd number of teeth on the gear, so as close to across from each other as possible. Say #6 and #11:30. Hope that helps.

Viper is different than the SRX... Could probably swap out the speedo cable gear for one from a sled that came stock with 8 tooth sprockets, MM or MSRX? Just an idea
The Viper is electronic, the SRX is mechanical, so that fix wont work.
