I have a sx 500r that blew a belt and now makes a clunking noise and would not rev up. I took the primary apart and replaced the slides, checked the weights and rollers( they were ok ) then i still noticed a little play so replaced the bushing on the front sheave that slides towards the spider. Took it for a ride and that sheave cracked all the way through. I dont want to get the comet replacement clutch for the sled because i heard there not the best. the new sheave is around 150 bucks new so i was wondering if there is a polaris , shittty kitty , or ski doo clutch that might work. I know the same clutch is on 00-01 500's and 07-10 500's yamaha's but i cant find a used one anywhere near me. Any input will help thanks :o|

i would just get the yamaha part and fix your clutch. a cat clutch will be shot every 1500 miles or so and by the time you buy a different clutch, you could have just bought the yamaha part and be cheaper/better off in the end. just find a used part in the classifieds on this site. many guys parting out sleds that have the part you need.
