Can anyone tell me the total length of a cylinder stud on a 2001 SRX. This is the stud that goes into the block or crankcase and bolts the cylinder down. Need to get one by the weekend and am having a machinist make it. Also, are the threads the same on both ends? Thanks a lot!!

There are two stud lengths, two short and 2 long. The thread size on both ends of both studs are the same: 10 MM dia. x 1.25 MM pitch.

The longer stud is 100 MM long with a 30 mm length of threads on one end and an 18 MM length of threads on the other end

The shorter stud is 75 MM long with a 35 MM length of threads on one end and a 26 MM length of threads on the other end.

Awesome, can't get much better info than that. The stud we need to replace is at the rear of the cylinder next to the carbs. Does anyone know if this would be the longer (100mm) or shorter (75mm) one? Thanks again! Gotta love this site.

Also, by chance does anyone know if these studs are heat treated or hardened? Just not sure what they are made from.

Well, that's what happened in the end. originally we couldn't find a local dealer with one so we were looking at next week if ordered and had a trip planned for the weekend. In the end a local dealer found one. Thanks for all the help.
