I don't know exactly when it happened (Sometime tonight) but now my 2002 viper's RPM guage is all screwy. When I'm sitting at an idle it says 0 rpm and when its WOT it will jump up to 9 and then down to 6 and maybe even back to zero, even though my RPMs are higher. The RPM's and the engine seem fine, its just the gauge or CDI maybe? Has anybody else had this problem?

Yes its common. Check the wiring harness where it comes up and lays on the tunnel by the oil line underneath your airbox. You have a rub thru/ short somewhere in the harness.

BTW- it can also happen underneath the motor and where your wiring comes up the steering post and rubs back and forth when you turn the bars. Tape the holy heck out of these areas.
