I have got a few bad bearings, a couple on the smaller idler wheels, and one on the larger rear axle drive wheels. I am wondering if anyone knows the bearing numbers to replace these as I would prefer to get them from someone other than the dealer.

I have done some quick searching and wasn't able to find much, and am kind of in a crunch for time. I am suspecting that the smaller bearing is a 6204 and the larger one is a 6205.

If I have to order them from the dealer, the order will have to go in within the next couple of hours to get them for the weekend.

BTW, it is a 2001 srx 700.

I just serviced the rear suspension on my 2000 SRX last week, taking out all the bearings, removing the seals, cleaning out the old grease and repacking them with Mobil 1 synthetic grease. The 6 smaller dia. idler wheels on the bottom of the shid use bearing no. 6205. The 4 larger idler wheels at the rear of the skid use bearing no. 6204. The two small dia. wheels in the tunnel at the front of the suspension use bearing no. 6004. The larger dia. wheels at in the tunnel at the top rear of the suspension use bearing no. 6205. If you have a set of the hyfax saver small idler wheel kits at the front of the slide rail, they take bearing no. 6004.

I clean the old grease and accumulated water out of each bearing usually at the end of the season and repack them with a good water resistant synthetic grease. This maintenance step will help the bearings last for many trouble-free seasons.

I was fairly sure that the rear axle wheels were 6004. I thought there are only 2 bearing sizes in the skid. But I don't have that skid anymore so go with Jim's info! If you look at the Yamaha part number, the bearing size number is usually in there. However, I just checked the online catalog for my 01 and it doesn't show a separate part number for the wheel bearing.
