Was riding this past weekend and must of hit a landscaping rock(if not an FN boulder) just right. Rode few more miles and took a break an buddy noticed that the rightside hyfax was coiling up in track(trip over). When I looked underneath I saw the screw that holds hyfax on was sheared off. To make matters worse, neighbor came down to help and made matters worse, slightly missing the hole and egging it out. I think I got it salvaged for the season. Suggestions if any are welcome. That hopefully do not include a new skid!

You can drill and tap it, using a bigger bolt. My ExpertX rails have a hole in the middle so that I can put a nut to hold the bolt (that holds the hyfax) in place. The bolt hole doesn't seem to be treaded. You can also weld the hole and get a new one drilled the right size.

Pretty much what I thought. What are those sleaves things called, starts w/an R? Where you drill it out then epoxy/locktite the new piece in and then tap that?

Here's another question for ya. What is the easiest way to get the track clips off? Since it ripped half of them out of the right side and I now have to replace them.

Air chisel with a good sharp chisel bit.
