After several attempts to bleed the cooling system, I get absolutely no coolant from the head bleeder bolt. The rear cooler bled out just fine with the back elevated slightly. The bottle is full and the hoses feel firm and under pressure. The carb warmer hose blew fluid out when unhooked. Rode it for several miles and back to the shop-nothing from the head bolt. Any ideas?
The valve for the carb heaters may be blocking the bleed hole. Try removing the valve slightly.

It takes some work but you do have to pull the valve out a tad to get it to bleed. I have always been just fine bleeding from the back. Make sure you get the rear up and bleed it good from their which it sounds like you did. If the exchangers are getting warm and no overheating i say you good to go. Chris
