I have a 03 Viper and when I come to a stop it stays reving at about 3800-4000 RPMS for a about 30 seconds or so. Doesn't matter what I do, blurp the throttle etc., it revs up at 3800-4000 rpms for 30 seconds or so before idling back down to normal idle. Checked the clutch spring not cracked or broke, and all the rubber boots around the carbs are in good shape and tight, also cleaned the carbs...
Anyone have any ideas?

You have a lean idle hang, common on vipers. Where are you fuel screws set at? May need to turn them out a bit. Double check for leaks at carb boots and crank seal. While running just spray some carb cleaner around the boots and such. If idle changes you have a leak.

Man,... 30 seconds seems like a long time for an idle hang (or am I way off here?). I thought mine was bad and that was only about 10-15 seconds. Next time it does it, blip your choke, should bring it right down. Bring your fuel screws out to 2 turns and see what happens, make sure your pilots are clean and double check for air leaks. Lots of reading material in the search area on this one. Keep us posted.

Good point Captn. I've got mine set at 14-1500 rpm's.
Could it be TORS kicking in (usually only 3000rpm) because of a throttle cable or idle out of adjustment?
Turning the idle down is noit going to help it. I will check the fuel screws, but they are at whatever stock is set at.

Lean idle hang,,pull carbs clean then adjust pilots screws out to 2 turns from seat and lower idle to 1500.
