ok so tonight i loaded the 8dn20's 4.5 in both holes... WWW primary
52/44pioneer helix green secondary...
i wrapped helix @ 60 and wow compared to stock pulls soooo much harder but could use more backshift (on a brand new belt) literally 10 miles on belt...
so i wrap it to 70 and the belt is slipping on a hard bite it just slips /vibrates

heres the weird thing though i put my used belt back on and no problems at all... how could this be this new belt has been washed , i even cleaned it with emory cloth...

also my clutch temps are hot with either belt to the like i cant keep my hand on my clutch faces ... im going out tomorrow morning to test &tune more but i was wondering on where to go next
my rpms seem perfect about 8200-8300 on a hard bitethen climbs to 84-8500

idk if i broke it on but i rode it for a bit now that i think about it maybe 30 miles how do you break in a new belt?

i put one on another srx we have and no problems actually put both new belts on at the same time last weekend

We have ALMOST the same exact set-up. I have a pioneer 51/43.

I have a slight over rev by about 100-150 RPM's and ordered haucks 5 gram for the tips of the weight. Sled ran 8600 in the bean field on 1 foot of snow and ran 8700 or so on a hard road with ice and some snow.

What do you mean by it vibrating on a hard bite? have you checked out your track tension?

and how hot or cold should my clutch faces be? is it because im only making short blasts that im having clutch face temps rise?

Matt, got your message, just came in from shop, call me around 10am tommarrow.

out this morning and all is well!!! only thing is at i seem to have a slight over-rev my tach seems to climb to the higher side of 8500... other than that i cant believe how much better the acceleration is. running on frozen/bumpy snow i dont know how many feet but pulling 95mph on the speedo in 2/10 of a mile
