im having problems getting my track alighned perfectly...
im currently going off the rear idler wheels... the 2 inside wheels im equally spacing off the bar that runs across the skid rails directly in front of them.
im also making the space between the clips on the track and the sliders equal on both sides.
my problem is my out side idler wheels, the track over hangs like 3/8"(exhaust side) on one side and over a half of an inch on the other.
my rail tip seem to have a little variance too i think one is bent a little from when i broke the bar infront of the W arm...
so my question is whats the correct way to alighn my track? i think i am overthinking this but i have all oversized wheels and etc serviced my entire skid, have a brand new track and im not happy with how the track looks at the rear wheels i think my skid may be tweaked cuz i cant get it right everywhere please help lol![No Bashing :bash: :bash:](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/no_bashing.gif)

Is it off just at the rear idler wheels?

I was always under the impression that you lined your slide rails up properly with the track, the rear idlers werent what you went by measurement wise.... I could be wrong on this though, ive never aligned one by myself though, ive always got my buddy to help me who was a mechanic from bomby... just my .02 cents

I measure from the rail to the edge of the track and tighten ot loosen an adjuster..rotate the track and when the 2 measurements basically match or come really close..tighten the axle nut and your done.If I go by my rear outside wheels,it is off a bit, otherwise the inside wheels may end up hitting hte coggs.
The hyfax needs to be centered as well as you can in the track windows, Don't worry about the wheels unless they hit the drive nubs on the track. A well aligned track will wander slighty as it travels, but not enough to hit the side of the hyfax with the track clips.
Keep in mind that the track is generally not perfect and it may measure different at different points. Just make sure that the track clip guides are the same distance from the hyfax on each side on average. Run the track with the machine elevated safely and let the track slow by itself. Do this several times to see if it is consistent at various points of revolution.
An unaligned track will stay to one side and not appear to wander.
