What lug height can I use on my 02 Viper? I found a Predator with 1.25 inch lug height for $359, but not sure if I can run it. I want to run 144 1.375 inch studs down the center but not sure if they will hit the front heat exchanger. Or any other ideas on what I should get.

You will either need to trim the track to clear the front protectors or switch to 8 tooth drivers. The smaller drivers will also allow you to run studs. Try a search on this topic. You will get alot of ideas and pointers.

The 2002 viper with a 3/4 lug and studs will rub not just the frount rad it will also rub the tunel (under the seat)

I got a 1.25in ripsaw with 192 studs on my 03 viper with a 9 tooth driver. The studs do clear but you have to trim the track. I have had no problems with studs hitting anything under the tunnel. Same with my dad. He has a ripsaw 1.25in with 144 studs on his 02 Vmax. We have had no problems with studs or the track hitting. Its a bit tight in there but it still does work great.

I ran my Viper with a 1.25 ripsaw for 9000km without trimming the track or removing the front protectors, it rubbed but not enough to worry about, I never had a problem and the track stayed in perfect shape. However, if you're going to change the track just pop off the front protectors anyway and there will be no rubbing then. All it takes is a flat head screwdriver and very careful operation of a cutoff wheel.

If you remove the protectors I wouldn't advise using studs though.

If you dont take the front protectors off then i would just trim the track, I believe you only have to trim it down a 1/4in for it not to rub. It only takes about 10 minutes to do this. Had a friend that bought a viper with an 1.25in track on it, person never trimmed the track. The track rubbed on the protectors and actually wore through them.

Glad to know it's fairly easy to remove the front protectors. I plan to remove my protectors front and tunnel and add a 1.5" track for next year.
