wasn't planning on running the sled today at the radar runs figured everything would be the same as yesterday. so i planned on taking the kids out for rides. took out my daughter put on 20 miles or so and swung by the lake. checked out the leader board and all the speeds were faster today....wtf. found out they were running 1000ft (on snow again) so with a full tank of gas and oil, skid packed full of snow and ice i signed up for 3 runs. first run 94.5mph (back in first place) second run 95.5mph ( now i'm in first place by 6mph) third run sled went off line had to let out and get back in 84.3mph. put on another 20 miles, dropped off my daughter, picked up my son, another 20 miles and back to the lake. still in first place but a t-cat just ran 100.6 in the next class up. holy crap I've gotta get 3 more runs.
first run 100.3 mph (t-cat is pissed, heads back out and goes slower), second run 101.8 (t-cat goes out again only runs 94) third run 101.9 (dad kicks daughter off t-cat and runs 92 lol)
so won first place again in 800 trail. there were only 2 speeds faster both were 104.?. one was a turbo apex, not sure what the other was didn't see it. but any day i'm within 3mph of a turbo apex probably making 200+ hp is a good day for me. needless to say there were a few apex's, t-cats, xcr800s, machzs, and 1000cc cats scratching their heads. sorry for the long post but wanted to share

Congrats on more #1 hardware! WoW....you're on a roll & hope you picked-up a lottery ticket on the way back to the homestead. Must have been priceless to see the thunder jockey tinkled-off.

yeah, he wasn't even in my class but he couldn't stand the fact that the little yamaha was faster. in his defense if he had half a brain he probably would of been faster. his sled was a newer one with the long travel suspension and he had it jacked to the moon. but the worse part was he was running hot laps one after another going slower each time. we would run, let it cool down some and run again and we got faster each run. go figure ;):D :yam:

Nice!!!!!!!

But the post title made me think of a really bad Britney Spears song......

Yeah, and I'll be humming it to myself all day today unless I go out at lunch and pop in some Metallica or something... anything!

I read this an hour ago and it's etched in my brain.

Thanks Jeff!

Great work staggs, where did the race take place. I see they had some draggs up in naples this weekend. more than 20 miles away from you though.

it was right on sabattus lake. my twenty mile trip with the kids wasn't straight to the lake though, just out enjoying the trails at a leisurely pace
Man I love that lake for great pike fishing. THose babys get big in there. I have a 88 skeeter with a 100 mercury on it if your ever out there and see me say hello. Im not much of an ice fisherman but a good excuse to take out the sled so maybe we can catch up sometime.
