Ok guys we are up here in Newberry MI, and we have some problems. My dad is running a 04 Venture (viper style) and he threw the bearings out on the rear axle bogie wheels. In the last months he installed studs and had the skid and track out. With that being said did the bearings burn up because of the track/axle nuts being to tight? Any help will be great hopefully we can find parts up here. Thanks in advance!

Are you talkin about the very rear axle that has either 3 or 4 bogie wheels on it. If you are then the answer is no you cannot. My guess is they were on their way out and it probably was in need of either more grease or new bearings.
Thank you, we went to the Yamaha dealer in Curtis MI yesterday and said the same thing. We were however talking to a guy at the bar the other night and he said he drills a small hole in the bearing and uses a needle greaser to grease them every weekend. Then after he greases them he slaps some silicon over the hole. Has anyone ever heard of doing this and does it work?

most guys use a pick to remove the seals and re-pack the bearings. i just usually replace the bearings on mine.
So when you say you replace the bearings is it a sealed bearing unit or are they individual ball bearings?

it is a sealed unit. if you are careful with a pick, you can take out the seals, clean and re-pack the bearing.
i usually just replace them as by the time i get to them they are too full of rust to save.
