98 srx front shocks

i am wondering if i have the right shocks?? i recently bought a 98 srx ... i love it .. but the front sits very low , the front shocks have red springs on them??? a friend who has owned one told me they werent the right shock, now im guessing .. anyone know

Pics would help, i know sx's came with red springs maybe someone swapped springs? I cant remember if the sx's had the same style front shocks.

were the sx shocks or springs shorter??

i think a sx, not sxr, was the same travel as a srx. The sx shocks very most likely valved differently & lighter springs than srx, beaig as the sx was a lighter machine. & the sx springs were red.

I think the SX had a straight rate spring and the SRX had progressive rate.....

I think the length was the same......

i have a 98 srx i have stock springs. they are yellow

you must have ohlins shocks, or at least the springs.
